World Chocolate Day: the reminder that wellness is not all-or-nothing.

Confidence is built through consistency, no perfection. On World Chocolate Day, we are celebrating balance: nourishing your body, enjoying life, and choosing treatments that help you feel good in your skin.
The Sweet Side of Dark Chocolate
Dark chocolate contains cocoa flavanols—plant compounds that may support healthy blood-vessel function. A review of clinical trials found that flavanol-rich cocoa products produced a small reduction in blood pressure, averaging about 2 mmHg. Choose chocolate containing at least 70% cacao and enjoy a small portion—approximately one ounce—to gain more cocoa with less added sugar. *NIH review
When a Healthy Treat Becomes Too Much
Dark chocolate is still calorie-dense and may contain considerable added sugar and saturated fat. A full 70–85% cacao chocolate bar can contain approximately 600 calories and 24 grams of sugar—so portion size matters. Although cocoa has promising properties, large clinical trials have not proven that eating chocolate prevents cardiovascular disease. Think of it as a mindful indulgence, not a daily health supplement. *American Heart Association | COSMOS clinical trial
